Verizon World Trade Center

These are some photos gathered from various sources of the Verizon work at the World Trade Center site. These are all shots of the 140 West Street building. This particular building was home to the Verizon executive offices as well as a considerable amount of central office equipment. You'll see several shots of the 7th floor and the #5ESS located there. The Verizon staff worked around the clock to rebuild this facility and get it running again in spite of the damage. It's a wonderful testament to the hard work and dedication of the Verizon employees. It's certainly in the spirit of service of the old Bell System.

Note the fire hose spraying water on the wreckage outside, the water on the camera lens, and the equipment cabinets hanging out in space.
